I love the linework and coloring of the piece.

The drawing also gives a good intimidating pose that is accurate to the game.

I think really the only thing that would make this really good is some more intense lighting.

Make it dramatic! I think making it more varied with light and dark would make the overall piece stand out better to the viewer.

It's almost a little too gray everywhere.

Anyways, I hope you keep improving and I can't wait to see what you do next!

Thanks for the feedback! Since it's a very simple piece i didn't wanted to put too much effort or time in it, so it's pretty much just blended lineart

I think you have a good start with the piece, but a few changes to it could improve it greatly.

The first thing I think that would help make this piece work better is changing up the face of the character to better mimic a snowy owl (which I believe is what you are going for).

The eyes on this kind of owl really give off an interesting look and I think incorporating more of that would help give the character a more realistic feeling.

This subject goes into my other critique in that the wings you drew do not fit the same structure of that kind of bird either.

The biggest thing with making a character is to have references out to gain information from.

No person is a master so I think doing some reference-based work could help you improve faster.

I was going to a more simplistic look for the face, and also didn't think about the wing shape when I made it. I wish I had because I'm working on another picture of her and the wing shape feels odd. Though Since she is and Aarakocra the liberty is there. Thank you for the helpful tips, though.

I feel that this one strikes the most because of the dark energy you feel from the black ink strokes.

It exudes this type of feeling that something is about to happen, and it doesn't have to be flashy to feel intense.

I also think that having the paper texture gives it a more real feeling, something you can imagine the texture of.

I also love the colors and design of the kimono.

You hear about that show Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba? Your character could fit into that show with like no problem, it fits the whole era and magical aspect!

[Oni Outfits 02]

The colors of this piece are very nice.

The light blue really goes well with the blond hair with dark blue tips, really giving a nice youthful vibe.

Also, I love how basically she doesn't really need shoes (or just doesn't wear them) cause she is a tough-looking character with a softy's heart.

I hope that we get to explore more of the world this character comes from in future illustrations!

The space effects in this piece are gorgeous!

And the posing of the character and the gesture of the hands really gives a flowing motion, adding to the lines that appear in the background.

My only real critique is that I think that maybe some smoke or clouds could be in the background reacting to the light of the universe. Kinda like those pictures of space where they show all the blooming colors.

I really am excited to see more pieces from you!

I like the lines of the piece a lot!

It has a heavier thickness with not much taper at ends with gives a good cartoon look.

Reminds me a lot of Haida from Aggretsuko in a way, I think it's the eyes that are giving me the vibe.

My really only critique of the piece is that the shading doesn't seem like it was really added enough.

Maybe putting on some more parts of the character and guitar could give it some more depth, you know?

I hope to see more pieces from you, and keep improving!

I really love the pose of Susie!

The colors are very popping and the lines feel strong.

The only critique I have is that in lots of spots where you reach a corner you the color doesn't go all the way to the edge which results in gray spots here and there.

I would try using some layer masks to help stay within the outer lines of the piece but also let you add color wherever you want.

And that layer mask can be messed with so you can make some parts where color wouldn't be disappear.

You can also fill up spots of color like this with the paint bucket tool, just change the tolerance amount and it should fill up entire spaces without affecting the other parts.

I hope to see some more stuff from you and I hope that this critique helps a bit!

I really enjoy the linework of this piece, it is simpler but it builds up to make this more complex image.

I also like the pink hue and the way you did the hair and gems, very smooth and nice.

My only critique of the piece might just be that you can really see where you were trying to cover an area with marker to fill it in.

I think you could fix that by making the clothing of items more simple in shading so that it is made of blocks of color than transitioning colors.

You could still get shading, but you would need less space to fill up an area.

Hope to see you improve more and more as time goes on!

I love the movement of the character.

Reminds me of something like Calvin and Hobbes, where the emotion of the scene changes the character's look in a more drastic way.

I would like to add as like my only critique, that the title for Shenanigans didn't appear to me right away how it should have.

The "E" doesn't have enough of the look of "E" to trigger in my brain, you know?

And the "I" that is represented as a plunger is a good idea but maybe it should mimic the color of the other letters in the scene?

Or it could have some white tape near the top that separates the bottom and top of the stick just enough that it makes the look of a lower case "I"?

Just kinda spitballing a bit.

I think what is here is still very fantastic.

I was wondering, did you do this piece in like a Photoshop program or did you do it in a Illustrator program?

The edges of every shape are very rounded and have that look of making shapes in Illustrator.

Either way, the portrait is very striking in a good way and really looks real.

I hope to see some more pieces that envoke this style!
