I really love the texture you put into the background to give a nice flowing look with the fire and the energy in the face.

The coloring is really nice too, it follows a lot of what the anime has but you expanded it more by making the character in a more realistic look.

Also, hands are pretty correct!

I guess the only thing that could be added, and this is more just a personal nit-pick, is some heavier lines where weight is on Retsuko. Would make parts stand out and fall back within the overall illustration.

Anyways, I really enjoy this piece and hope to see more great work from you!

Your portraits are very realistic!

I love the eyes the most, they have these cool colors that show up to make the reflections and such.

It's got a very delicate nature and I think you are capturing the human aspect of a face greatly!

How long does it take to do a piece like this?

The posing of the character feels pretty good.

I think you got this nice graceful feeling to the overall body, but you can see in the linework that they are tough as nails.

The shading and color are really good too, you can tell what materials are which for the most part.

There is one thing that is bothering me though, it's his left hand... his thumb looks really long!

It's not something everyone would notice it right away, but once you see it makes it feel a little off, you know?

Either way, I think this is a great piece!

I think the pose you have for Giorno is pretty good.

It fits his character and gives some nice intimidation.

I do wish that the shading was a little more prevalent throughout the piece.

If you have a chance, you should look at the artwork for Jojo from the Manga versions. Especially the covers, they really show off some nice techniques to show shading and space.

It could really help him stand out a lot more against the background.

Also, I noticed that the linework looks a bit blurry even though it isn't too small of a size. Are you setting your work to be at 300 Pixels Per Inch?

The more pixels it can contain can help keep your work looking sharp.

Thank you for the criticism! Right now im using an app called drawpile and i think the pen settings im using is just a bit more blurry than what the pen is originally set to. I can always try changing the pen hardness and opacity though if that'll make the next picture look better! And i can definitely study more of the JJBA art style too! I'm trying to find a happy medium between my style while still showing off what knowledge I have of the JJBA styles. I highly appreciate your kindness in your message to help me improve; I'm always looking for ways to improve myself as an artist so when another fellow artist is as kind as you are, it just helps a lot. I love the posing of Edward!

It so fits his badass persona, even though a lot of people can still see him as a kid.

The metal arm is really fantastic too, it really has that nice look of brushed metal.

Are you thinking about possibly doing the brother as well?

Either way, another great piece!

I love the linework and coloring of the piece.

The drawing also gives a good intimidating pose that is accurate to the game.

I think really the only thing that would make this really good is some more intense lighting.

Make it dramatic! I think making it more varied with light and dark would make the overall piece stand out better to the viewer.

It's almost a little too gray everywhere.

Anyways, I hope you keep improving and I can't wait to see what you do next!

Thanks for the feedback! Since it's a very simple piece i didn't wanted to put too much effort or time in it, so it's pretty much just blended lineart

I like the thick lines that make up the general shapes throughout the piece.

It really helps give this stylized look to the character.

I think you could add a bit more to the piece to make it more striking and catching to the eye.

Right now you only have the flat shading on one half of the body. It would be interesting to see some highlighting on the side with the light source.

I also think that incorporating the shadow of the figure on the background could help give it some grounding.

Or, you could do a background with just simple blocks/strokes of color with no outlining and to help set a scene.

I hope that my critique wasn't too negative or anything, just want to point out some stuff.

I think you have a good start with the piece, but a few changes to it could improve it greatly.

The first thing I think that would help make this piece work better is changing up the face of the character to better mimic a snowy owl (which I believe is what you are going for).

The eyes on this kind of owl really give off an interesting look and I think incorporating more of that would help give the character a more realistic feeling.

This subject goes into my other critique in that the wings you drew do not fit the same structure of that kind of bird either.

The biggest thing with making a character is to have references out to gain information from.

No person is a master so I think doing some reference-based work could help you improve faster.

I hope I didn't come off too harsh with my comments.

I was going to a more simplistic look for the face, and also didn't think about the wing shape when I made it. I wish I had because I'm working on another picture of her and the wing shape feels odd. Though Since she is and Aarakocra the liberty is there. Thank you for the helpful tips, though.

I really enjoy the linework of the piece.

It has this interesting boxiness while being pretty much rounded at every spot.

The colors pop well and fit the character design well. The flat shading also is at the right amount that it doesn't interfere with the piece.

The two things that I wish were explored with the piece is adding some slight tint to show a lighting source and giving the donut some proper shading.

Either way, good job with the piece.
